CR/ Nalanda : DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,PGC and S.P. Arya DAV Public School Biharsharif Nalanda mark the Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti with a run for cleaning the surroundings.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, also known as the Clean India Mission or Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, is a nationwide cleanliness campaign launched by the Government of India on October 2, 2014.

Both , the PGC and S.P. Arya DAV Public Schools, Biharsharif, Nalanda jointly marked the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri with a cleanliness drive. And they run for DAV , promoting fitness, civic responsibility, and the enduring values of both national leaders too. As a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, students of both schools participated in cleanliness work to encourage hygiene and care for their surroundings.

The Run for DAV brought together students, teachers, and staff, who carried placards with messages on cleanliness, health, peace, and national unity. The programme highlighted the values of truth, non-violence, simplicity, discipline, hard work, and dedicated service to the nation.

Addressing the gathering, the principals of both schools spoke about the continuing relevance of Gandhiji’s ideals and Shastriji’s teachings, urging students to practise honesty, discipline, and respect for all.

The programme concluded with participants taking a pledge to uphold truth, non-violence, cleanliness, and national service in their daily lives. The joint celebration encouraged students to become responsible citizens committed to the progress and welfare of the nation.
